After many years of working on forms, creating curriculum, and
gathering documents, we finally received word on February 12th that
permission had been granted to extend, and the form had been signed. February
16th the document arrived and word spread quickly through the school
and community that indeed we would be opening 7th grade in May. Many
parents and students are excited to have the opportunity to continue their
education in a Christian setting for another 3 years. Not only is it the
Christian setting that they like, but the quality of the education is better
than the local government schools. Sixth graders that I taught last year that
then went on to the local government school said that what I taught in 6th
grade was harder than what they were learning in 7th grade at the
other school. This was for several subjects, not just English.
Having received this permission, we now need to move ahead
with fundraising for a new building that needs to be completed by May 2017.
